چکیده

The hydrocarbon-bearing formation of Miano gas field belongs to the Early Cretaceous and it is bounded by two shale intervals, which are considered as maximum flooding surfaces (MFS). interval includes reservoir units: a tight its overlying conventional reservoir. Core samples, borehole logs, well production performance revealed that reservoirs present reversed trends in quality through without obvious barriers. average volume changes from 24.3% 12.2% permeability 32.65 mD 0.02 south north. However, effective porosity overlaying increases 20% 26% 10 300 mD. lead challenges forecast development proposals Therefore, characterization predictive model essential for further exploitation field. geological genesis analysis integrating cores, three-dimensional (3D) seismic data reveals producing tidal-influenced shore facies deposition with intergranular pore space reduced mineral cementation during burial diagenesis, while fluvial-influenced deltaic abundant, well-connected macropores, leads better quality. A containing both constructed considering nature understanding, accuracy confirmed surveillance activities simulation model. study will be critical hydrocarbon

An integrated petrophysical and rock physics analysis to improve reservoir characterization of Cretaceous sand intervals in Middle Indus Basin, Pakistan

The sand intervals of the Lower Goru Formation of the Cretaceous age, widely distributed in the Middle and Lower Indus Basin of Pakistan, are proven reservoirs. However, in the Sawan gas field of the Middle Indus Basin, these sandstone intervals are very deep and extremely heterogeneous in character, which makes it difficult to discriminate lithologies and fluid saturation. Based on petrophysic...

Integrated Characterization and a Tuning Strategy for the PVT Analysis of Representative Fluids in a Gas Condensate Reservoir

Gas condensate reservoirs are characterized by a distinctive retrograde behavior and potential for condensate drop out during production and sampling. Efficient modeling of gas condensate reservoir requires careful phase behavior studies of samples collected prior to and during the production life of reservoir. In this work, an integrated characterization and tuning algorithm is proposed to ana...

A Comparative Study of the Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, and Nero-fuzzy Systems in Seismic Reservoir Characterization: An Example from Arab (Surmeh) Reservoir as an Iranian Gas Field, Persian Gulf Basin

Intelligent reservoir characterization using seismic attributes and hydraulic flow units has a vital role in the description of oil and gas traps. The predicted model allows an accurate understanding of the reservoir quality, especially at the un-cored well location. This study was conducted in two major steps. In the first step, the survey compared different intelligent techniques to discover ...

Reservoir characterization in an underground gas storage field using joint inversion of flow and geodetic data

Characterization of reservoir properties like porosity and permeability in reservoir models typically relies on history matching of production data, well pressure data, and possibly other fluid-dynamical data. Calibrated (history-matched) reservoir models are then used for forecasting production and designing effective strategies for improved oil and gas recovery. Here, we perform assimilation ...

Methodology for Variogram Interpretation and Modeling for Improved Reservoir Characterization

The variogram is a critical input to geostatistical studies. It is the most widely used tool to investigate and model spatial variability of lithofacies, porosity, and other petrophysical properties. In addition, 90% of geostatistical reservoir characterization studies use variogram-based geostatistical modeling methods. Furthermore, the variogram reflects our understanding of the geometry and ...
